Whose history is it? Diversity vs. History

Whose perspective creates what we call “history”?

Until recently the historical record has been determined almost exclusively by white, male academics and storytellers.

Today, have the values of DEIA - Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility - begun to intersect with history storytelling?

What does it take to fully embrace those values; what could it mean to the future of history in media, and the potential for expanding the audience?

Is “nothing about us without us” where we start? What would real diversity in history media look like?
