Michał Kokot, born 1981, Foreign Desk Journalist at Polish daily "Gazeta Wyborcza".
He is with the newspaper since 2004 and covers mostly Central and Eastern European countries issues, with the focus on Germany, Hungary and Czech Republic. His main interests are politics and issues relating to media freedom and democracy. 2013 honored with the “German-Polish Tadeusz-Mazowiecki Journalist award”, supported by the Bosch Foundation, the Foundation for German-Polish Cooperation and six partner regions.
Author of the book "Polska na podsłuchu" ("Poland under surveillance"), an depth investigation story about illegal Pegasus surveillance for political purposes under the government of Law and Justice (PiS).
