A series of short documentaries, ME, MY HAIR & I explores identity, politics and economics in relation to hair. Janna, Ruby and Philipp are among the protagonists who share their deeply personal stories of love, loss and longing, of shame and pride, of despair and hope, of humiliation and empowerment, of fitting into or defying cultural and social norms and expectations. From Europe to Africa to America to Asia, these norms may vary - the problem of obeying them (or not) stays the same.
