Project Description
LA – bright lights, glamour, Hollywood – the land of storytelling. Built on top of over 100 Indigenous villages, the megacity has forgotten its origin story. Together with other members of the Kizh-Gabrieleño Tribe, Matthew is on a mission to revive the 10,000 year legacy of LA's first inhabitants. He wants to prove that the ecological knowledge of his ancestors offers the solution to the city’s environmental crisis.
After multiple ancient grave sites surface in the LA area, Matthew travels to Germany to retrieve an obscure but key document about the tribe. Will Los Angeles finally listen to what the Indigenous community has to say?
