Project Description
Ismaele’s stutter has always made him feel ‘alien’. He found refuge in wildlife photography, where silence is key and new adventures mean never having to fit in. His pursuit of the perfect picture has led to Arctic Norway, where he trains his lens on ptarmigans, otters, humpback whales and orcas. Suddenly he is hit by a realization: in the harshest of environments, all these creatures belong. So why can’t he? Arctic Blue charts Ismaele’s polar night as he finally stops moving and finds inspiration in the people and wildlife that have made this place their home. If he can belong here, surely he can belong anywhere.
