Leef Hansen works at the intersections of artistic research, media art and science. He received Bachelor of Arts degrees in political science with a focus on psychology and sociology (Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel // 2008 - 2012); in Media and Communication Studies (Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg // 2013 - 2016) and a Bachelor of Science in Fundamental Economics (Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg // 2013 - 2016). Leef Hansen is also a film director and photographer and completed his Master of Fine Arts studies at the Bauhaus University Weimar in 2019 at the Department of Media Art and Design. Since April 2022 he has been a research associate at the department of Media and Communication Studies at the Martin-Luther-University Halle- Wittenberg and is doing his doctorate on the subject of »Documentary Interventions«.
