Maris studied Audiovisual Media in Baltic Film and Media School and finished her studies in FAMU in Prague. After moving to London in 2012 she has had the opportunity to produce various award-winning documentary films and branded content. Her main focus has been on creative producing and this has allowed her to work with major production houses such as VICE, Discovery Channel, Channel 4, BBC and ARTE. She is currently working on many projects that tackle human rights issues and women’s position in society. She is an alumni of many prestigious workshops such as ExOriente Film and Doc Society’s Impact Lab.
