About me
Lieselotte is a Belgian legal anthropologist whose research agenda falls within the intersection of anthropology and human rights aiming to contribute to the growing “empirical turn in international legal research” by promoting collaborative qualitative research. Since 2002 Lieselotte has been collaborating with indigenous peoples in Peru, Guatemala, Ecuador and Colombia in diverse spaces regarding local post-conflict processes, legal pluralism, natural resources extraction and defence of the territory. In
2018 she was awarded a Starting Grant of the European Research Council to develop the RIVERS Project.
