About me
Erik van de Loo is a psychoanalyst and Professor of Organizational Behaviour at INSEAD, where he is Co-Founder and Program Co-Director of “The Executive Master in Change”, both in Fontainebleau and Singapore. Previously he held Professorships in the Netherlands at Free University Amsterdam and Tilburg University, as well as in Malaysia at UniRazak University.
As a fellow of Phyleon Leadership & Governance in Amsterdam, he helps to create reflective space for leaders and boards becoming more effective in the context of change and crisis. His research focuses on Board dynamics, Unconscious phantasies of leaders and Collective Traumas. An example is studying the transgenerational impact of the experience of large-scale disasters (war, natural disasters, large scale calamities, etc.) on the development of leader values.
See for example: Tcholakian, L. Khapova, S. N., & Van de Loo, E. (2023). Historical
